The Peace Garden Glastonbury. Pyramids, check. Huge crowds, check. World-famous musicians, check. A garden? Yes, that is right. Glastonbury Festival has a garden. The Peace Garden is a magical, calming space amongst the hustle and bustle of the world’s largest festival.

Glastonbury Festival can be intense. I always recommend that people take advantage of the calm areas to balance out that intensity. Places like The Healing Field, The Woods, and The Peace Garden do just that.
Sit amongst the flower beds and just be for a little while. The large seat of contemplation allows you to do just that, as you sit back and gaze out over the event.
There is also a large sunflower table if you want to sit and chat with fellow festival goers.
It is amazing how different the atmosphere is here. The Stone Circle is located in the same field but has a completely different energy. This happens a lot at the festival. Different energies in the same location. The vibe of The Mez Yard is very different from The Temple, which is near it.
Where is The Peace Garden at Glastonbury?

The Peace Garden is located in the Green Fields. If you head up to The King’s Meadow, where The Stone Circle is located, you will find The Peace Garden on your right.
The Dalai Lama, at The Peace Garden, Glastonbury

I have had many memorable experiences at Glastonbury Festival. Waking up on a wet Sunday morning to listen to a talk by the Dalai Lama is one of my highlights. Which other festival attracts such people?
If you are looking for an endorsement of how calming the Peace Garden is, I think having one of the world’s most spiritual beings there says it all.
How long has the Peace Garden been at Glastonbury?

The Peace Garden made its debut at Glastonbury 1992.
Whenever I am up near the Stone Circle, I always take a detour to The Peace Garden. As a keen gardener, I like to look at the planting and flower choices. I also like to just be still for a little while. When you walk on average 35,000 steps during the festival, you need to!
