Woodsies Glastonbury. I love the Woodies area at Glastonbury. It is one of my favourites. The Woodsies stage always has a brilliant lineup. It is probably one of the stages I spend most of my time at. I have seen everything from a Ukrainian all-female punk band to a secret set by The Killers there.
Why the name Woodsies? The name comes from the Worthy Farm fields it occupies.
Have a listen to my interview with Jim Fox one of the organisers of Woodsies below:
Woodsies Stage, Glastonbury

You can listen to up-and-coming acts from all over the world here as well as hip new artists from these shores. If you are a lover of all kinds of music then this is the stage for you. This stage/tent can get busy, so if you want to be near the front, head to it early.
There is more to Woodsies than the stage, though. There is also the Tree Stage, which made its debut at Glastonbury 2024 and The Woods, which is a lovely area to chill out and unwind.
The Tree Stage, Woodsies, Glastonbury

The Tree Stage is an immersive outdoor venue set beneath an oak decor canopy. It have a mix of arts, music, science and folk. The main performances here will be after the last act has played on The Woodsies Stage.
The Wood, Glastonbury

We always head to The Wood when it is a hot Glasto, cause there is a lot of shade there. They hold performances in The Wood too, and don’t forget the aerial walkway amongst the trees. Talking of trees, over 1,000 new trees have been added to this area to maintain the magic between us and nature.
The Tolpuddle Fire, Glastonbury

Every night, from dusk till dawn, the Tolpuddle Fire is lit in the ring of great stones below the ship. Historically connected to the Eavis family, the stones and the fire symbolize the legacy of a small group of agricultural labourers from Dorset, whose conviction, deportation to Australia and subsequent pardoning in the early 19th century became the first semblance of the trade union movement in the UK.
Convivial, warming and close to the Tree Stage happenings, the Tolpuddle Fire is the perfect place to make friends and immerse yourself after a hard day of festivities.
The Woods Bar, Woodsies, Glastonbury

That’s not all. This being Glastonbury, there is also a bar that has resident bands playing jazz, world music and more.
Where is the Woodsies area located?

Woodsies is located where the old John Peel/New Bands Tent was. Head towards San Remo and you will see it to your right.
If you are looking for an area that has great music and a chilled vibe at night, then Woodsies is the area for you.
