Michaels Mead Glastonbury. Michael’s Mead Campsite is a very popular place to camp at Glastonbury Festival. Situated right near The Woods of Woodsies and not too far from The Pyramid Stage, you will need to arrive on site very early to grab a spot.
Where is the best place to park for Michaels Mead?

Michael’s Mead is slightly more to the west of the festival site than to the east. So the pink car park is closest.
Which gate is best to enter for Michaels Mead?

As you will be parking in the pink car parks, Gate A is your closest gate to Michael’s Mead.
How quickly does Michaels Mead fill up?

Fairly quickly but not as quickly as Big Ground & Kidney Mead. That is probably to do with the steepness of the hill. Being close to Gate A where the buses drop people off is also a factor at why it gets busy.
Is Michaels Mead Noisy?

Like nearby Hawkwell, it can be yes. With San Remo and the Woods nearby, you will be hearing music from San Remo and people chatting from The Woods. That said, you will be so exhausted you will probably sleep through any noise.
Pros and Cons of Camping at Michael’s Mead
Pros:
- It is close to The Pyramid Stage
- It is close to the Woodsies Area
- It is close to Silver Hayes
- It has great views
- Close to the Bus Drop off point
- There are some great bars nearby like San Remo, The Cider Bus and The Village Inn
Cons:
- It is quite a steep hill so you will be sleeping at an angle
- It can get noisy
- It gets filled up quite quickly
Conclusions
Michaels Mead has two of the major stages (Pyramid & Woodsies) right next to it. If you plan to spend a lot of time in those areas then this could be a good spot for you to camp. The dance area of Silver Hayes is nearby too so you are covered with lots of variety.
However, I think nearby campsites are better but you will have to arrive early to nab a spot.
Remember, you will hardly spend any time in your tent so don’t stress too much about where you camp.
See you on the farm.
