Camping at the Big Ground Glastonbury. The Big Ground is one of the most popular camping sites at Glastonbury Festival. We have camped here a few times and always enjoyed it. The Big Ground faces the Pyramid Stage so that is why it is super popular.

How quickly does the Big Ground fill up?
Each year can be different but the Big Ground is normally full by Wednesday afternoon. If you want to camp here you will either have to queue overnight or get on site early. We have managed to find a spot in the afternoon but that was just for one tent. Now that we camp with all our mates it is different.
Is the Big Ground noisy?
Again, each year can be different than the last and it all depends on your neighbours. However, in general, no the Big Ground isn’t noisy. Once the final acts have finished on the Pyramid Stage the area becomes quiet as most people head off to Block 9, Shangri La or Arcadia.
