What’s new for Glastonbury 2025. Every year, things change down at Worthy Farm. That is why Glastonbury is still relevant after 50 years. Stages come and go, and areas arise from nowhere. Here is what’s new for Glastonbury this year.

New in Shangri-La, Glastonbury 2025

Shangri-La is starting from scratch. From the look of their poster and bits of information we have received so far, only the Nomad Bar/Club (which made its debut at Glastonbury 2024) has returned. All of the other areas are new.
The main change is a new area called The Dragon’s Tail. This area will have bars and places to eat, and is on a hill, so if you just want to chill and look down on the madness, you can.
As the theme over the last few years at Shangri-la was that everything must go, it looked like they really meant it. Here is what they have said so far:
Each year, Shangri-La reveals a new chapter of its
ever-evolving narrative. In 2023 and 2024 it explored the theme Everything Must Go, challenging consumerism, and exploring different currencies, exchanges and values.
Now, everything has gone. This year, Shangri-La is
re-wilding. The field is starting again from the ground up with a renewed focus on growing community and connectedness.
The Wilding is a complete reset. We want to return to the feeling of experiencing collective real life joy, of being present, and discovering something new with wonderment and awe.
Here are the new venues at Shangri-la:

New in Silver Hayes, Glastonbury 2025

Silver Hayes is another area that likes to reinvent itself. There have been a lot of changes over the years. This year, they have announced a new area called the Sunflower Soundsystem. This venue will be a surround sound dome.
The capacities for the Levels and Lonely Hearts Club have increased. Assembly seems smaller.
New in CarHenge

There is a new Buskers Stage this year in CarHenge. There are some great acts on there, so make sure you get down there.
New at The Other Stage

They have extended the area in front and around The Other Stage (making the nearby Oxlyers Campsite smaller). The Other Stage has been super popular in recent years, with huge crowds for certain acts. I am glad they have made the area bigger here.
New at Arcadia

The Arcadia area has more capacity, which is a good thing, as it is a super popular area.
New at The Glade

The Glade area has also increased in capacity.
Campsite Changes at Glastonbury

As mentioned above, the Oxlyers Campsite has gotten smaller. The Pylon Ground has got a bit bigger, and South Park 2 looks smaller. Campervan E24 site is now a glamping site.
I am sure there will be more new things announced for Glastonbury 2025. As soon as I hear what they are, I will add them to this article.
See you on the farm.
