Oxlyers is one of the most popular camping spots at Glastonbury Festival. It is located right next to The Other Stage so if you want to camp here you will need to arrive early.

2025 update: This area has lost a fair amount of space to create more room for The Other Stage crowds. Over the last few years, The Other Stage has attracted huge crowds and it was getting too overcrowded.

If you are coming to Glastonbury by car then the best place to park for the Oxlyers Camp area is in the orange car parks.

You can enter through Gates A or D to get to Oxlyers.

How quickly does Oxlyers fill up?

Each year can be different but Oxlyers is normally full by Wednesday afternoon. If you want to camp here you will either have to queue overnight on Tuesday or get on site early Wednesday morning.

Is Oxlyers noisy?

In a word, yes. It is sandwiched in between The Other Stage, Silver Hayes and Arcadia (or whatever comes in its place). It is also located by a major thoroughfare so people will be walking by all the time. But who sleeps at Glastonbury?

Pros and Cons of Camping at Oxlyers

If you want to be in the heart of the festival then Oxlyers could be your spot. It is close to The Other Stage, Silver Hayes, and The Pyramid Stage is around a 10 10-minute walk away.

Pros:

• Close to quite a few popular areas
• Party Atmosphere
• Not far from the Gates

Cons:

• It is one of the flattest camping areas and get quite muddy if it is a wet Glasto
• The edges by the paths get quite busy so try and avoid these areas
• There are early morning soundchecks on nearby stages, so if you have been up all night, this might be a problem

Conclusions

Oxlyers is popular for a reason. It is quite handy to get to most spots in the festival as it is almost halfway between them. That convenience does come with some risks. It is busy, can be noisy and can get muddy if it rains.
