With over 250 million records sold, there is no doubt that Rod Stewart is a legend. Expect a mass sing-a-long and a sea of leopard print outfits in front of The Pyramid Stage. Rod Stewart recently announced that he will be slowing down his big tours, so playing Glastonbury will be a perfect place to showcase his many hits.
He follows the likes of Yusug/Cat Stevens, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Diana Ross in the legends slot. The 79-year-old recently had a number 1 album. Stewart said he was “proud and ready” to play at the festival, adding that – at the age of 79 – he was “more than able to pleasure and titillate” the crowd.
