Bushy Ground has gotten smaller in recent years to make way for some crew camping, but it is not one of the busy campsites. It can get soggy if it’s a wet Glastonbury so bear that in mind. Which gate is best for entering Bushy Ground?
Gate D is the closest gate to Bushy Ground, Glastonbury. (Gate A is a little bit further.)
How quickly does Bushy Ground fill up?
Bushy Ground is one of those areas that should have some room even if you turn up late on the Wednesday or early on the Thursday. No year is the same, so make sure you check with the campsite stewards when you get there.
Is Bushy Ground noisy?
Bushy Ground isn’t too close to major venues, so it shouldn’t be too loud. Arcadia & Silver Hayes are the closest, so you might be hearing noise from there. There are noisier camp areas and quieter ones. To be honest, you will be so tired of partying every day that you will probably sleep through anything.
Pros and Cons of Camping at Bushy Ground Glastonbury
Pros:
- It is quite close to Gate D (and A isn’t too far)
- It doesn’t fill up too quickly
Cons:
- It is quite far from most venues
- It can get muddy and soggy if it’s a wet Glastonbury
- You have to walk around a restricted area to get to it

If you are looking for a relatively quiet camping area at Glastonbury, then Bushy Ground could be the one for you. If you don’t mind a bit of a walk to the main areas, that is.
Remember, you will hardly spend any time in your tent, so don’t stress too much about where you camp.
