Happy 90th Birthday, Sir Michael Eavis.
Happy Birthday, Michael. Thank you for creating the world’s greatest festival. I know it wasn’t easy, especially in the early years. Even in those tough years, you always had a smile on your face and treated everybody with warmth and grace. You are an inspiration to me and many, many others (as you will see below). You have proven that people can create something magical just as long as they are allowed to be themselves. Have a great day today, and we hope to see you on the farm soon. Peace and Love, Paul & Karen – glastonburytips.com (we did a little video below too, and there is a photo of you and me in The Underground Piano Bar in 2015).

Thank you from Tony Christie

I’m Janina, one of the Storytellers from Glastonbury who perform across Kidz Field and Green Futures. We are a rolling cast of 8 tellers, led by John Row and Christine Willison and have been a fixture at the festival for roughly 30 years in one shape or another. We all want to wish Michael the most wonderful and deeply joyful 90th birthday, and thank him for creating the most ridiculously special festival. We hope he enjoys our little video.

Photos & Messages for Michael Eavis’s 90th Birthday
Dear Michael
Wishing you the happiest of birthdays. Your vision and spirit have created something truly extraordinary in Glastonbury, a place where the music, community and magic come together like nowhere on earth.
I will never forget when we met you at Worthy Pastures, and the kind conversation we shared about the recent passing of my Mum and Dad. In that moment, your warmth and sincerity meant more than you probably realised.
Glastonbury isn’t just a festival, it’s a place that changes people’s lives. It’s somewhere that brings hope, healing, joy and connection, and that stems from you, your vision, your values and your generosity.
Thank you, Michael, for creating something so meaningful and continuing to inspire so many. May your birthday be filled with love, music and the same warmth you’ve given to the world.

Thanks for the best times. Ever. I remember one time you and your wife let us into your garden. In 1984, we had tea in the morning. Wellington boots were offered to me. Me being a MoD. At the time. Kindly declined. What a Wallie. It was. Dry muddy that year & if I’m not mistaken. There was a young Emily. In a high chair. In the kitchen big farmhouse table. White fridge with letter no s magnets. On the door. You were very kind to us. We left our car XR2 Fiesta. In the garden. Walked down in the morning we thought we were dreaming. Waterboys played. That Sunday night, Ian Dury. Paul Weller stormed off. As mud. Was going on him. But I will always remember. Your kindness. Micheal.- Mark Brady
